About Us
Morewood & Yager has been designing and building handcrafted furniture since 1988. Our Carpinteros,
some of whom are second and third generation woodworkers, are highly skilled having served lengthy
apprenticeships while learning their trade. We use only first quality kiln dried American Ponderosa Pine,
Appalachian Red Oak and Alder from the Pacific Northwest to produce our furniture. Each piece is hand
crafted using mortise & tenon, and dovetail joinery; time consuming techniques that ensure perfectly fitting
joints for long lasting strength and beauty. Each piece is then fitted with only the finest quality hardware
available ensuring all drawers and doors operate smoothly and quietly throughout the years. Our original
Morewood & Yager designs and authentic reproductions all feature hand rubbed finishes in a variety of
penetrating tung oil urethane Danish oil stains. Every piece takes hours to sand properly; achieving a "soft
to the touch" feel and look.
Our traditional Santa Fe and contemporary Southwestern styles are as comfortable in a town house as they
are a ranch house and blend effortlessly with existing decors. "Whether functioning as an accent piece or as
